Radburn was established in 1929, replicating communities
built in Europe. There are approximately 670 families
living in Radburn. The development consists of
approximately 470 single family homes, 58
condo/townhomes, 30 multi-family homes, and a 90+ unit
apartment complex. Radburn was included in the National
Register of Historic Places and the New Jersey State
Register in 1974.
One of the
major concepts of Radburn is the pedestrian path
structure. The path system was constructed so that
pedestrians and motor vehicles would never cross each
